About Sugar Creek Restaurant:
Sugar Creek Seafood Restaurant is one of Nags Head’s oldest seafood restaurants. It sits right on Roanoke Sound and delivers great sunsets over the Sound night after night. While it’s famous for seafood, particularly shrimp, it also has a great menu of steaks, ribs, chicken and daily specials for lunch and for dinner. Plus there’s a soundside bar for specialty drinks and a quick meal. Sugar Creek Seafood Restaurant is open daily 10 months of the year for both lunch and dinner. And it’s a perfect Nags Head restaurant for large parties or special events. It can accommodate up to 60 people for a planned ahead special event.
This March at the 2010 Taste of the Beach Expo, Sugar Creek received the ‘People’s Choice’ First Place Award for their shrimp and grits recipe. You can order this award-winning dish most nights. It’s a great combination of creamy, cheese grits topped with shrimp, Andouille sausage, onions, peppers, and seasonings - and it’s a real treat.
Just open in June . . . A new dining deck. Enjoy a drink under the umbrella or stay and enjoy dinner while the sun sets. Just opened and a great way to view the Roanoke Sound.
Next door to Sugar Creek is Sugar Shack Seafood Market, owned by the restaurant and the only seafood market in Nags Head that’s open all year round. Both businesses are located on the Nags Head-Manteo Causeway.
Both Sugar Creek Seafood Restaurant and Sugar Shack Seafood Market are a family owned Outer Banks business.
