Welcome to Matthew S. Gibson Photography

With a passion for the landscape and the coastal outdoors, Matt Gibson is celebrating the opening of the newest gallery on the Outer Banks with beautiful scenic photography for every budget, small prints to large canvases.

Matthew S. Gibson is coalescing his passions for photography, teaching, and writing.

Originally a native of Delaware, Matt relocated to Nags Head, North Carolina in 2009 to be closer to the coastal landscape that has become dear to his heart. This move also made way for Matt to begin setting up exciting workshop programs with a new venture - the Outer Banks Photography School.

In addition to his own photography, Matt is devoted to teaching others with enthusiasm that can only be described as contagious. He truly enjoys working with photographers of all levels and believes that the learning process never ends. He has successfully produced well over two dozen photographic instructional programs with audiences as few as 8 and as many as 180. He has been teaching location photography workshops since 2005.

When he is not photographing or teaching on the Outer Banks, you will likely find Matt exploring the National Parks System or other spectacular areas of America’s great outdoors.

With a background in information technology and project management, Matt has been working to transition from a corporate career and pursue his creative passions full time. The trials and tribulations of this ongoing seven-year process will be documented in an upcoming book, which he hopes to publish in 2012.
